Potable water supply to Kumasi and its environs is being threatened as the two main sources have significantly been depleted by human activities. For the first time a woman has been chosen as the chief justice in Sudan. The Sovereign Council, which is made up of civilian and military officials, confirmed that Supreme Court judge Neemat Abdulllah would head the country’s judiciary. Government says the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has given Ghana’s economy a clean bill of health because it remains favourable. The proposed legislation follows a BBC investigation that uncovered alleged sexual misconduct by lecturers in Nigeria and Ghana.
