The Special Mothers Project, an advocacy and awareness creation programme on cerebral palsy issues has called on the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to prioritize the social protection system to support children with cerebral palsy. The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has kicked against a directive from the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) asking members who have installed television in their vehicles to remove them. Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information, has said about 1.2 million children will be benefiting from the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme by the end of the year. To support the increasing numbers of students under the programme, 8,000 teachers would be employed within the same period.
