Six more soldiers have been arraigned at the Kaneshie District Court over an alleged plot to destabilise the country and overthrow the government. They were charged with possession of explosives, arms and ammunitions without lawful excuse when they appeared before the court. Three traders’ associations in Kumasi are demanding the immediate occupation of the completed new Kejetia market. The groups have questioned delays by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) in opening up the market for trading activities. The aggrieved traders from the three associations closed their shops temporarily, Monday morning, to protest the delay in going to the new market. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has stated it is yet to finally approve the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) guidelines for schools. A 25-year-old motor rider has been shot dead by a police officer at Atimpoku in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region, triggering tension in the area. The man, identified as Nyable Mordzifa, from South Senchi, was allegedly hit Sunday night by a stray bullet from a warning shot fired by a police officer whose name is yet to be given. According to eyewitnesses, three police officer on duty at a check-point close to the Atimpoku Police Station, seized the motorbike of a rider for not wearing helmet as required by law.
