The head of training at the National Identification Authority (NIA), Abdul Ganiyu, has clarified the delay in the issuance of Ghana Cards at approved registration centres. Most Ghanaians who have undergone the registration in Accra have complained about their inability to receive the cards immediately after egistration. The  Prisons Service in Winneba is embarking on an exercise to arrest and get residents who dump refuse in the drain and openly defecate along the beaches prosecuted. This comes on the back of a report by Media General as part of its sanitation campaign – #GarbageOut – that showed some residents an area place in Winneba resorting to using the beach behind the prisons quarters as a place of convenience. The Tano South Municipal Security Council took the decision on Friday having picked intelligence the likelihood of the two groups to engage clash.
