Municipal Chief Executive for Asin North, Fifi Baako, has justified the decision to force an Egyptian couple to sweep the entire lorry station in the town for indiscriminate littering. He explained that Mohammed Fatari and Fatima Nah were made to sweep the lorry station “to serve as a deterrent to those who have such offences in mind”. Deputy Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Nyamah, has endorsed the use of inhumane interrogation methods, including torturing of suspects, by security agencies in the country to extract information.
