The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) has urged Ghanaian youth to venture into cocoa farming, indicating it has good prospects for a sustainable life. The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has called for an open discussion on infertility to demystify the condition, which many misconstrue as a curse. Mrs Akufo-Addo said infertility is not a curse and that there is the need for both men and women to talk about it without feeling bad. Rapper Strongman has hinted of a possible collaboration between himself and rapper Medikal in the near future. The 2018 Auditor General’s report has identified major procurement breaches at the Ghana Export Promotion Authority. The report among other things cites questionable contracts in excess of five hundred thousand Ghana cedis. According to the report, in September 2017 and February 2018, the former Executive Secretary of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) Gifty Klenam awarded two separate contracts for consultancy services totaling USD$123,000.00, the equivalent of 542,640 cedis. The contract was awarded to Mr. Kwesi Korbor of BLC Investment Consult, Accra, without any documentary approval from the Authority’s Entity Tender Committee for the procurement activities.
