Leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Madam Akua Donkor says she will not pay the 10,000-cedi cost awarded against her by the Supreme Court. The Auditor General Daniel Yao Domelevo has triggered yet another legal action to stop the Economic and Organise Crime Office (EOCO) from investigating him over alleged procurement infraction. Mr Domelevo warned EOCO to cease investigating him on grounds that it has no legal basis whatsoever to subject him and officers from the Ghana Audit Service to investigations into alleged procurement breaches in the purchase vehicles for the Service in 2018. Ghana and Italy have signed a memorandum of understanding that will enhance defence and security cooperation between the two countries.  The man who carried out Friday’s stabbing attack at London Bridge was a former prisoner convicted of terrorism offences. The attacker, named by police as 28-year-old Usman Khan, was out of prison on licence at the time of the attack, in which a man and a woman were killed and three others were injured. Khan was shot dead by officers after members of the public restrained him. Police declared the attack a terrorist incident. A policeman at Manso Datano in the Ashanti Region has been arrested and detained for allegedly raping the wife of a suspect in custody. He has also been interdicted by the police administration. Bar-goers in Burundi are upset at the government’s order for public drinking spots in certain cities to close by 21:00 local time (19:00 GMT). Until now there had been no restrictions on opening times. The order is being implemented in the capital, Gitega, the main city of Bujumbura, and in the northern Muyinga province. London Bridge has been cordoned off by police, with a BBC journalist reporting hearing gunfire. BBC reporter John McManus said he saw a group of men involved in a fight on the bridge. Police then arrived and shots were fired, he said.
