Former President Jerry John Rawlings has hinted at releasing a book titled ‘The Triumph of Evil’ to expose the likes of Professor Kwamena Ahwoi.
He believes Prof Ahwoi, who served in his government as the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, released his book ‘Working With Rawlings’ “to preempt the exposure that Rawlings’s book ‘The Triumph of Evil’ promises to reveal about some of them”.
Prof Ahwoi’s book has stirred controversy as its content has been widely contested by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
To the first president of the Fourth Republic, the book by Prof Ahwoi was calculated and not ill-timed as some may want the public to believe.
The former president made this known in a Tweet on Monday, August 17.

He stressed that people like Prof Ahwoi “do not expect the NPP to let go of 2020, so they are hoping to utilize the opportunity of a loss, to damage Rawlings with some vicious, manufactured stuff”.
“Their cunning calculation is that Mahama and his running mate will step aside after 2020 while they consolidate their control over the party and provide their own flag-bearer and running mate for 2024.”
