The Western Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Ndede Nsia, has declared the Region’s unflinching support for former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming presidential primaries.
Mr Ndede Nsia wants Dr Bawumia to be elected the party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2028 elections.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to the Region at the start of his campaign tour in Amenfi, the regional chairman said Dr. Bawumia is poised for victory with the widespread support he commands across the country, adding that the Western Region will be part of the victory.
“On behalf of my people, I warmly welcome you here and want to state that Western Region is going to be part of the winning team. We want to uplift Dr Bawumia and give him resounding victory,” he said.
Commending Dr. Bawumia over a number of his positive values and waging a decent campaign so far, the regional chairman expressed admiration for the former Vice President for focusing on his campaign of issues and ignoring propaganda and attacks against him by his opponents.
“It is unfortunate that lies and propaganda are taking centre stage in this campaign against one man.
“But the good thing is that he is not perturbed and has concentrated on his campaign by not responding to them. This has also encouraged us to remain focused on embarking on our campaigns for him to win.
“We appreciate this and we want to urge you to continue to stay focused,” the regional Chairman added.
Dr. Bawumia completed his tour of the region on Wednesday in Sekondi, having visited all constituencies.
He was warmly welcomed by delegates and received widespread endorsements and support across the region.
