President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has left Accra for a day’s official visit to Qatar, the presidency has said.
President Akufo-Addo is embarking on the trip at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
It is in reciprocation to an invitation which resulted in a trip to Ghana in December, 2017 by the Golf state’s leader.

It is as well to explore other areas of co-operation for their mutual benefit.
President Akufo-Addo is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and some officials from her ministry.
The delegation will return on Tuesday.
