Legon Cities FC have beaten Bechem United 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to clinch their first win of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
An Abdul Karim fourth-minute free kick secured all the three points for the Accra-based side.
The side, formerly known as Wa All Stars, have gone five weeks in the season without a win, having held prospects of challenging the big boys in the top-tier league.
They started with a 2-2 draw at Liberty Professionals before going 1-3 to Asante Kotoko in their first home game.
They drew goalless on the trot to Dreams FC and Ashanti Gold SC before succumbing to a 0-2 loss to Aduana Stars.
The maiden win will be a boost to Goran Barjaktarevic’s side going into their next game exactly a week later against Karela United.
