General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministries International Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has cleared the air on the recently held breakfast prayer meeting at the Jubilee House.
The man of God says he was invited by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and was even there before the meeting started.
“I had a long chat with President Akufo-Addo even before the other men of God came,” he said in local language Twi.
“But I left for an equally important assignment,” he disclosed on Onua FM‘s Yen Sempa on Monday, March 23.
He said he even returned to the presidency, hoping to join the meeting later but it had ended.
The clarification follows public surprise that the man of God, who has always claimed to be the president’s prophet, was conspicuously missing during the prayer meeting on Thursday, March 19.
The prayer meeting was held to invoke God’s protection for Ghana amid the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
“I humbly called you [the clergy] to this prayer meeting for us to join together and pray to almighty God to protect our nation, healing this land and save us from this pandemic,” President Akufo-Addo had mentioned ahead of the prayers.
Among those who prayed that day were Chairman of the Church of Pentecost (COP) Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Right Rev. Prof. JOY Mante, Presiding Archbishop of the Action Chapel International Ministries Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries Dr Joyce Aryee.
Among the men of God present were Founder of the Lighthouse Chapel International Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel Eastwood Anaba, and former Chairman of COP Apostle Prof Opoku Onyinah.
Prophet Owusu Bempah said when he returned the men of God had left and he had a hearty chat with the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei Opare.
He had staunch faith that Ghana will scale over the pandemic.
