Two-time champions Aduana FC are sitting atop the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League following a 3-1 win over regional rivals Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
The two sides clashed on Matchday 11 game at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa in the Bono derby.
The Ogya Boys made their intentions clear six minutes into the game as Samuel Ansah opened the scoring.
Hensen Amponsah doubled the lead for Coiaba Aristica’s side after barely 10 minutes from restart.
Though Seidu Abubakar halved the deficit in what could have been a comeback for the 2010 champions, in-form Emmanuel Marfo put the game beyond the Blues as he restored the two-goal lead with six minutes to go.
The win sees Aduana FC leapfrog Medeama SC, who were held to a goalless draw at home by rejuvenated Bechem United.
The Bono side lead with 23 points, one more than Heart of Lions and the Yellow and Mauves.
Aduana FC’s next game will be away to champions Bibiani Goldstars, on Sunday, November 30.
