Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has broken his silence on the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw held last Friday.
He said his compatriots will be up for such a clash at the global showpiece.
Friday’s draw in Washington DC saw Ghana placed in Group L, same as England, where the midfielder has played in the past three years.
Asked what he makes of the outcome, the midfielder, who currently plays in North London for Tottenham Hotspur, said: “It’s good to have England in the group.”
The former Ajax man pointed out that qualifying for the tournament itself is a big statement made by the Black Stars and what they are capable of doing.
He said Ghana are pretty much aware of the side they will be facing in England and they will be ready for it.
“Playing against most of the players in the country here and some of the other guys that play here as well, we are pretty much aware of the side we are facing and the quality they have, but we will definitely be up for it and be ready.”
Ghana will take on the Three Lions on Tuesday, June 23 in Boston in the second Group L game.
