Anthony Joshua stopped Jake Paul in the sixth round of their heavily anticipated bout, ending the contest with a decisive right hand after largely controlling the fight.
Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight champion, stepped in as a late replacement after Gervonta Davis was removed from the event. From the opening bell, Joshua pressed forward while Paul relied on movement, circling the ring and frequently clinching to slow the action.
The early rounds were cautious, with Paul attempting to keep his distance and Joshua probing behind his jab. Joshua gradually closed the gap, landing clean shots that forced Paul backward. In the fourth round, Paul went to the canvas following an exchange, though he briefly protested before rising to continue.

Momentum swung decisively in Joshua’s favor in the fifth round, as repeated right hands sent Paul down and prompted warnings from the referee. Paul showed resilience, surviving the round despite another knockdown.
The end came early in the sixth round when Joshua connected with a powerful right hand that dropped Paul heavily. The referee waved off the fight after Paul failed to beat the count.

The victory improves Joshua’s professional record to 29 wins and four losses, with 26 of those wins coming by knockout. It also marked Joshua’s first professional win in the United States, closing the chapter on one of boxing’s most talked-about crossover events.
