The National Chief Imam has thrown his support behind the National Youth Authority’s upcoming National Youth Conference following a courtesy visit by the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Osman Ayariga, on Friday, August 7.
The visit was aimed at updating the revered Islamic leader on plans for the conference and seeking his counsel and blessings ahead of the national event.
Mr Ayariga said the conference is intended to create an inclusive platform for young people and key stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting youth development while promoting national cohesion and active citizenship.
The National Chief Imam welcomed the initiative and encouraged the National Youth Authority to continue collaborating with faith-based institutions and other partners to inspire young people to become responsible, patriotic and productive citizens.
