A 63-year woman has died of a seeming shock upon seeing the condition of a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly brutalised the Police at Agona-Nkwanta in the Western Region.

The boy, who is now experiencing pains in his jaw, was said to have been invited to the Police Station for allegedly fighting with his schoolmate who is the daughter of a police woman.

Benjamin William Peters of Takoradi-based Connect FM reports that on Friday, June 16, 2017, a misunderstanding ensued between the boy and his schoolmate who is the girls’ prefect of Abura DA School.

The girl was said to have informed her mother [the police woman] and she in turn called for the arrest of the boy, though the school authorities advised the police woman against that because the school had already punished him.

Our reporter say despite the warning by the school authorities, the boy was invited to the Agona-Nkwanta Police CID.

Though the boy’s father and his aunty, now deceased, went to the Police Station to demand the release of the 14-year-old, they were unsuccessful, 3FM gathered.

A police officer was said to have consequently assaulted the boy on the orders of the police woman, 3FM gathered.

The boy’s aunty, a retired educationist, who saw the condition of the boy after the alleged brutality collapsed and was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the Ahanta West Police Command is in a crunch meeting with the family of the deceased, educational and the school authorities over the incident.

The Police has been tight-lipped over the issue.

Currently, the boy is under treatment.
