Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah says he is not happy with his side’s 1-1 draw with Congo in the 2018 world cup qualifier.
The Congolese drew first blood at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday before Thomas Partey got the equalizer deep in the game.
The draw stretches further Ghana’s hopes of making a fourth straight appearance at the world cup.

Speaking to journalists after the game, Kwesi Appiah said: “I am not happy with the result”.

He pointed out that there were numerous chances that were squandered by his charges.
The Congo goal came after a sloppy defensive work by Turkey-based Joseph Attamah Larweh.
Kwesi Appiah explained that the Basaksehir centre back had impressed him at training at the right back position and so gave him the chance.
He attributed same tactical reasons to the substitution of Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew in the game.
He says “in football, you can’t say never” and so hopes to win all the Stars’ remaining matches to stay in contention of making it to Russia.
