The Tema Regional Fire Service says report on Sunday’s fire disaster that ripped through a tanker yard behind the Ashaiman Timber Market would be ready by close of day, Monday.
According to the Fire Service, investigations are expected to be concluded today and the report would be made known to the public.
Twelve out of 26 tanker trucks belonging to a private company were destroyed by fire at the yard.
The tanker trucks were all full with petroleum products meant for distribution to some fuel stations on Monday.
The Ghana National Fire Service managed to salvaged fourteen of the tanker trucks.
Tema Deputy Regional Fire Officer, Timothy Osafo-Affum, confirmed on Onua FM’s Yen Nsempa hosted by Bright Asempa that there were 26 tankers in the yard at that moment but 14 came out while 12 got burnt.
He said nine out of the 12 were burnt completely burnt while three were partially burnt.
Mr. Osafo-Affum said no one got burnt or injured in the fire.
