Air France-KLM plans to cut more than 7,500 jobs at its French arm as the airline industry reels from the coronavirus crisis. Europe’s second-biggest airline will cut 6,560 staff at Air France, with its regional French carrier Hop! losing 1,020 jobs, the company said on Friday. Some eligible applicants defied the rains Saturday morning to queue to register for their new voter ID cards. It was a wet morning on Day 5 of the ongoing registration and many thought the rains would stop eligible voters from going to the registration centres. The coronavirus infections in Ghana have seen the highest ever confirmations in a day after 758 cases were recorded. The latest confirmations, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), are records as of Wednesday, July 1. The new cases have taken the total cumulative cases of the country from 18,580 to 19,388. The recoveries-cum-discharges are now 14,330 and the deaths are still 117. This, as a result, leaves 4,941 active cases being treated and managed by the country. In a statement signed by the General Manager of Kankpe records, Nii Kweitey Quaynor, Tinny is healthy and has not in anyway tested positive for coronavirus.
