The Union of Professional Nurses and Midwives, Ghana (UPNMG) has expressed disagreement with the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) over the latter’s proposals to the president as regards who frontline health workers are. Multiple award-winning dancehall musician Shatta Wale has donated assorted items including food, drinks and water to inmates of various police stations across the nation’s capital. The musician also donated an undisclosed amount of money to help with the upkeep of the inmates. Central Region has become the seventh region in the country to record a case of coronavirus. The case, involving a 57-year-old man who returned from the UK on Tuesday, March 17, was confirmed by the Central Region Minister, Kwamena Duncan. So far, 13 contacts of the patient have been traced. Twenty-six more cases of the deadly coronavirus have been confirmed by Ghana. The latest cases came from the enhanced contact tracing and testing being carried out across the nation by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
