A dog in northern Thailand has rescued a newborn baby after it was buried alive, allegedly by its teenage mother. The baby boy is said to have been abandoned by his mother, 15, to hide her pregnancy from her parents. Ping Pong the dog was barking and digging in a field in Ban Nong Kham village. The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) on Friday paid a working visit to the family of the late teacher George Bosompem Somuah, who was beaten to death by some youth said to be old students of Asiakwa Salvation Army JSS, he was a headmaster. A non-governmental organization, DKT International, has held a day’s workshop to promote safe use of medicine in the Bono Region. Government has accused the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government of issuing the permit for the importation of a total of 1,575 short guns and pop actions into the country recently.
