Nicki Minaj is being sued by singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman over claims she sampled her song without permission. A lawsuit has been filed over Nicki’s track Sorry – which it’s claimed she wanted to release on her album Queen – in a court in Los Angeles. Nigeria’s parliament has passed a law capping campaign spending for next year’s elections. The following limits have been set: Presidential candidates: $14m (£11m) Gubernatorial candidates: $3m Senate candidates: $700,000 House of Representatives candidates: $280,000. The Electoral Act also stipulates how electronic card readers, used for the accreditation of voters at polling stations, should work. A viral outbreak at a New Jersey long-term medical care centre has killed six children and left a dozen more infected. State officials confirmed a total of 18 cases of adenovirus among paediatric patients at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on Tuesday. Chinese President Xi Jinping has officially opened the world’s longest sea crossing bridge, nine years after construction first began. Including its access roads, the bridge spans 55km (34 miles) and connects Hong Kong to Macau and the mainland Chinese city of Zhuhai.
