The prime suspect in the murder of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, the former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency, Daniel Asiedu, has threatened to go to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to seek justice. A Japanese city has been forced to clarify it is not in fact recruiting ninjas, following reports that it was facing a shortage of skilled assassins. Local officials in Iga, which styles itself as the birthplace of ninja-dom, had received a flood of applications from around the world. The Trade and Industry Ministry is set to launch a start-up Ghana project in August to motivate and support entrepreneurs and start-up businesses to grow. Speaking at the Second Young Entrepreneur’s Forum, Deputy Trade Minister Carlos Ahenkora said government will also set up five incubation centres at the various universities to help nurture the skills of young entrepreneurs. A Viagra in pregnancy trial has been urgently stopped after 11 newborn babies died. Women taking part in the Dutch study had been given the anti-impotence tablets to improve growth of their unborn children because they had poorly developed placentas. It appears the drug, which promotes blood flow, may have caused lethal damage to the babies’ lungs. Experts say a full investigation is needed to understand what happened. A 21-year-old man, who has been parading himself as a naval officer and going about duping people, has been arrested by police in Shama in the Western Region. He has been charged provisionally for defrauding by false pretense and impersonation and has been remanded in police custody after appearing at the Shama Circuit Court on Tuesday.
