US president Donald Trump has called for NFL players to be banned for a season with no pay if they kneel for the national anthem. In May, the NFL introduced a new policy with teams fined if players fail to stand during the anthem. Since 2016, some players have knelt to protest against police treatment of African Americans. “Isn’t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart?” President Trump wrote on Twitter. “First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!” The NFL policy also asked that players who would refuse to…

Former Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Charles Yaw Aheto-Tsegah has expressed little surprise at the result of the 2018 West Africa Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). He says the results reflect the kind of education received by students over the period they were in the classroom. The 2018 WASSCE results, released on Friday, July 13 by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), recorded a drop in performance in English Language and Mathematics. There was a marginal improvement, however, in Social Studies and Integrated Science. But generally about 60 per cent are said to have performed below standard…
There’s a type of leopard called the Amur leopard. In the whole world, there are less than 60 Amur leopards left. The Amur leopard and a good spouse have one thing in common today― they are both endangered species! You had better thanked your stars if you can call your spouse a good one. If they have faithfully helped you climb life’s ladder, be grateful you have in your home, at least, one of the endangered species. If they have unflinchingly stood by you in good and bad times, thanking God and showing appreciation to these spouses is a must,…
