Mr Mourinho was accused by prosecutors of defrauding Spain of €3.3m (£2.9m; $3.6m) in taxes while he was Real Madrid coach from 2011 to 2012. A prosecutor said Mr Mourinho, 54, did not declare income from image rights in order to get an “illicit benefit”. A statement released on his behalf said he “has not received any notification”. It added: “To this date, neither the Spanish tax authorities, nor the public prosecutor have contacted Jose Mourinho or his advisers who were…

He was charged with endangering the baby’s safety following his arrest on Sunday, police said. The unnamed man dangled the child out of the 15th-floor window of an apartment block in…

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday swore in the former Chief Justice of the Republic, Georgina Theodora Wood, as a Member of the Council of State. It will be recalled that on the 14th of February, 2017, President Akufo-Addo announced the composition of the membership of the Council of State. Since there was no living former Chief Justice, at the time, the President was unable to propose a name for the approval of Parliament, in accordance with Article 89(2)(a)(i). It is for this reason that the President on Tuesday swore in the former Chief Justice as a Member of…
