At least two people have been killed and dozens more injured in an explosion in the eastern Chinese port city of Ningbo, local officials say. The blast is said to have occurred at a factory at about 09:00 (01:00 GMT) in the city’s Jiangbei District, causing some nearby buildings to collapse. The Bureau of Public Safety (BPS) has expressed disgust at Saturday’s incident at the Kotoka International Airport, blaming it on the Ministry of Transport and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). A Starbow flight skidded off the runway, leaving one person hospitalized. According to BPS, the incident only draws Ghana closer to “witnessing a national disaster”. The accident, which involved a Kumasi-bound flight, left one person hospitalized at the Airport Clinic in Accra. A Kumasi-bound Starbow Airline flight ‘crash-landed’ 12 noon Saturday due to heavy wind, following a downpour. Three passengers were seriously injured. While two were treated and discharged, one is still on admission at the Airport Clinic, where they were sent to for medical treatment.
