The police are holding in custody three young men suspected to have been involved in the gang-raping of a teenager in a video that has since gone viral. The video caused outrage on social media with many calling on the police to fish out and arrest the actors. Three of the five boys believed to have engaged in the act are currently behind bars. The police are yet to confirm whether they were indeed the ones in the video. South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) has selected Cyril Ramaphosa to succeed President Jacob Zuma as the party’s leader. The nation’s deputy president defeated former cabinet minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Mr Zuma’s ex-wife, after a marathon voting process. Passengers at the world’s busiest airport faced a second day of disruption on Monday after a power cut led to hundreds of cancellations.
