US-based Ghanaian inventor Dr Thomas Mensah says he has started engaging concerned ministers to ensure the construction of high-speed trains in Ghana. Dr Mensah said he was directed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to talk to the sector ministers in getting the idea into fruition. The first aid flights since the Saudi-led coalition imposed a blockade on rebel-held areas three weeks ago have landed in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa. They include a UN flight carrying 1.9m doses of vaccines, Meritxell Relano, Unicef representative in Yemen tweeted. Three more aircraft carrying UN aid workers and International Red Cross staff have also arrived, AFP reports. Zimbabwe’s new President Emmerson Mnangagwa has pledged to re-engage the country with the world, following the dramatic departure of Robert Mugabe. The Achimota student, who was jailed three years by a Juvenile Court for shooting his friend Lily Asibete to death at Tema, has appealed against his sentence. The student, according to court processes, held that the sentence of the Juvenile Court was harsh hence the appeal. When the matter was called at an Accra High Court, presided over by Mr Justice J.
