The state visit to Ghana by the Queen of Denmark is a demonstration of the close relations between the two countries. Moderate coffee drinking is safe, and three to four cups a day may have some health benefits, according to a large review of studies, in the BMJ. It found a lower risk of liver disease and some cancers in coffee drinkers, and a lower risk of dying from stroke – but researchers could not prove coffee was the cause. The National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS, has called on government to speedily solve challenges facing the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy. Zimbabwe must act quickly to dig its economy out of a hole and access international financial aid, the International Monetary Fund has warned. Government spending and foreign debt are too high and it needs structural reform, Zimbabwe mission chief Gene Leon told Reuters news agency. The Medical Director of Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital, Dr Eugene Dordoye, has apologised to staff of the hospital for the recent developments that have seen the latter embark on a sit-down strike. The staff had petitioned the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, last month, citing reasons why they want Dr Dordoye removed from office.
