The Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency in the Upper East Region, Edward Abambire Bawa, believes the government has collapsed homes with the ban on small scale mining in the country. Ghana coach James Kwasi Appiah has made a donation to the Africa Widows and Widowers Foundation at Nima, Accra. The items, which included bags of rice, cooking oil and detergent estimated around GH¢10, 000, was part of Appiah’s social responsibility to the less privileged in society. Karpowership Ghana Company Limited has connected its 470 MW Karadeniz Powership Osman Khan to the national grid. The Powership, which arrived in August this year, has completed all requisite commissioning works, operational tests and has begun supplying power to the national grid. This will significantly help ameliorate the power supply in the country. Ghana has been sanctioned by the world football governing body, FIFA, for breaching articles 5 and 25 of the regulations of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Northern Region Minister Salifu Sa-eed has directed all metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives (MMDCEs) to disregard an earlier letter signed on his behalf as regards the impending trip of the president to the region.
