Police in India say they have arrested a man whose smelly socks caused a dispute between him and fellow passengers on a bus. They told the BBC they had lodged a complaint against Prakash Kumar, 27, for “causing a public nuisance”. The incident occurred en route to the capital, Delhi, after Mr Kumar removed his shoes and socks. The stench from the socks was so bad that passengers asked Mr Kumar to put them in his bag or throw them out. But he allegedly refused, sparking a heated argument. Former manager of Hearts of Oak Kenichi Yatsuhashi has been appointed as Head Coach of Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies. The Japanese-American is expected to coach the senior side in the 2017/2018 season as well as spearhead the Tema-based club’s youth development programme. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte is in Accra for a two-day visit from November 30 to December 1. As the first of a Dutch Prime Minister to Ghana, Mr Rutte is hopeful of reaffirming and further strengthening the excellent relations between the two countries. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused the US of seeking to provoke North Korea into stepping up its nuclear missile programme. He rejected a call by the American envoy to the UN Security Council to sever ties with the North after its latest ballistic missile test. Russia argues sanctions do not work and advocates negotiations instead. The US has warned that North Korea’s government will be “utterly destroyed” if war breaks out. The West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) will from 2018 be written in May instead of February, the Minister of Education has said. This is part of measures to streamline the education sector under the Free Senior High School policy.
