The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has assured of readiness to conduct this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The Examinations for final year junior high school (JHS) students will begin on Monday, June 5 and end on Friday, June 9. The Upper Denkyira West District Assembly wants President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to visit the area in the midst of efforts to unravel the cause of the lynching of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama. Children who have TVs in their bedrooms are more likely to be overweight than those who do not, a study by University College London scientists suggests.
