The Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast will from the next academic year cut the number of student intake, headmaster of the school, Malfred Barton-Oduro has announced. He said the school will from September not take more than 600 fresh students, explaining the decision was taken in view of the current inadequate infrastructure to accommodate the student population. About 8,000 personnel are expected to be recruited into the Ghana Police Service by the end of the year to beef its human resource capacity. The Ghana Revenue Authority has embarked on an exercise to retrieve over GHC11million in tax default in the Ashanti Region. Eight institutions, which have not settled their tax liabilities between 2013 and March 2017, are being targeted in the exercise. A total of seven crocodiles have been killed in an attempt to break into tilapia farms at Nabrunye in the Lawra District of the Upper West Region to eat the fishes. About 17 of the crocodiles were killed in the first year of the farms in 2015, the farmers told TV3, nothing the crocodiles have become a major threat to their tilapia farms. President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor Barack Obama of inaction over alleged Russian interference in the US election in 2016. Mr Trump said Mr Obama had learned well before the 8 November poll about the accusations and “did nothing”.
