A former Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region is battling for his life at the hospital, after he was attacked and shot by armed robbers Wednesday evening. The Minister for National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah is urging political parties to discourage the establishment of vigilante groups, warning their activities could be a major security threat to the nation if not checked. The Half Assini Police in the Western Region has presented GHC5,000 to the family of a 45-year-old man who mysteriously died while in Police cell. According to the family, the autopsy done last Saturday revealed the man, Yaw Esuabe, a second-hand cloth dealer, did not die naturally but out of beating. Government is to revamp the Sunyani Airport which has been out of use for the past two years, Aviation Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has announced.
