The Electoral Commission will from Tuesday, January 17 begin processes for the election of 10 people as Council of State members to represent each of the 10 regions in the country. The elections of Council of State members are in line with Article 89 (2) (C) of the country’s constitution. A delegation of professors and students from the United States has arrived in Ghana to train parents, teachers and caregivers on how effectively take care of children with intellectual disabilities. The delegation from The College of New Jersey, (TCNJ) USA is expected to conduct assessments on children intellectual disabilities including Autism, in order to design the appropriate training. A worker at The Gambia’s main ferry crossing has told the BBC that thousands of people are fleeing every day as they are “afraid of war”. “People are in chaos, people are leaving” as they don’t know what is going to happen, he said. Emmanuel Orlando Matrevi’s stock-in-trade is threatening to publish nude pictures of ladies if they allegedly refuse him sex.
