A Brazilian Netflix film about a gay Jesus has sparked a huge backlash – with 1 MILLION people calling for it to be pulled. The First Temptation of Christ – a 46-minute comedy flick showing Jesus as a closeted homosexual – was released on 3 December. A person who was being treated in hospital after the eruption of New Zealand’s White Island volcano has died, bringing the official death toll to 16, police say. The victim, who has not been identified, died in Australia after being repatriated for treatment. About 20 people remain in intensive care with severe burns.
