A Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded in prison custody eight members of political vigilante group Delta Force.
The eight were arrested last Thursday, April 6 for aiding the escape of 13 of their members standing trial at the KMA Circuit Court.
Presided over by Patricia Bonsu, the court on Monday morning ordered the eight to reappear on Tuesday, April 18.
TV3‘s William Evans Nkum reports that a plea for bail put forward by lead counsel for the accused, Gary Nimako, was thrown out.

Lawyer Nimako argued in court, TV3‘s reporter narrated, that the arrested were no where near the incident as they were rounded up in Fante Newtown.
He also told the presiding judge that the accused persons are not members of the vigilante group, William Evans Nkum added, as he also insisted all the charges preferred against his clients were bailable.
In an interview later with TV3‘s reporter, Mr Nimako accepted the ruling in good faith, promising to abide by “whatever the court says”.
“We will abide by it and look at the way forward.”
The eight are being charged with disturbances of court and resisting arrest and rescue as captured in Section 233 and Section 226 of the Criminal Code.
The 13 they helped escape from court last Thursday are in prison custody serving their remand.
They are also expected to have additional charges preferred against them.
