The AG’s Department led by Jasmine Armah challenged August’s order for stay of execution at the Appeals Court.
She also filed an application to seek a complete halt to the order.
But on Wednesday, the state attorney withdrew the application without any reason, however.
A cost of GH¢2,000 was awarded in favour of Mr Sivaram and it is to be paid by the state.
GIS revoked the businessman’s legal residence permit after it emerged that he had falsified a marriage certificate for his visa application.
The Ministry of Interior, subsequently, signed his deportation.
But this was deemed by the High Court as a breach of natural justice.
A TV3 investigation later revealed that the Indian businessman was still married to his wife of 30 years [picture above].
Mr Sivaram petitioned the president, claiming the move by the Service was a “deliberate ploy” to take over his business, Jai’ Mai Communications Limited.
