Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije has congratulated all newly elected executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) nationwide for their sense of responsibility, loyalty and courage to first serve the great party and mother Ghana as a whole.

He made the statement in Accra at the University of Ghana on Saturday, September 1 after the voting process came to an end without any hitch.

The former Mayor of Accra said the peaceful nature of the electoral process, which is aimed at giving patriotic members of the party the opportunity to serve, has proven to Ghanaians and re-emphasized the democratic definition of the NDC.

He urged the executives-elect to put the laws of the land first – by upholding the provisions of the 1992 constitution – and vision of the NDC party that is fashioned to ultimately serve the interests of all Ghanaians.

Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije emphatically stated that unity and inclusiveness of party members during the electoral process is a sign of strategic preparations towards forming a formidable front to reclaim power from the incumbent New Patriotic Party that have not been able to prove themselves worthy of governing Ghanaians.

“The present hardship in the system, failed political promises, numerous issues of corruption and low standard of living of Ghanaians is proof that majority of the people that voted NPP have regretted and the NDC is coming back in 2020 to work assiduously to save Ghanaians,” he stated.

The Ablekuma South MP also encouraged all executive hopefuls who could not win to throw their weights and influence behind the newly elected to strengthen the unity within the party that would increase the positive force in winning  the bigger and most important battle which is the 2020 national elections.

He also advised members of the party to be vigilant, optimistic and resourceful to the party.
