Ghana’s peace may be threatened by the influx of private security companies, a UN expert group on mercenaries has warned, calling on authorities to introduce tougher measures to regulate the industry. A Rocha scientists are calling on government to help protect the habitat of one of the world’s most endangered species discovered in the Atiwa Forest in the Eastern Region. The rare terrestrial monkey in the Atiwa Forest of the Eastern Region was said to have been discovered by the A Rocha scientists through the use of infrared camera trap. Heather North, the US actress who was the voice of Daphne in Scooby-Doo for many years, has died at the age of 71. According to reports, she died at her Los Angeles home on 30 November after a long illness. North was the second actress to voice the “danger-prone” Daphne Blake in the Scooby Doo, Where Are You! Some unknown gunmen have shot the 2013 Northern Region best farmer, Alhaji Soale Dramani, 3news.com has gathered. According to reports, Alhaji  Dramani, popularly known as Business, received a call from someone who only gave his name as Jawula. Jawula said Mr Business was wanted by Mabungwura, a sub-chief of Kpembe. But he was shot at the back by unknown gunmen on his way to see the chief. He screamed for help, eye witnesses said. The police are holding in custody three young men suspected to have been involved in the gang-raping of a teenager in a video that has since gone viral. The video caused outrage on social media with many calling on the police to fish out and arrest the actors. Three of the five boys believed to have engaged in the act are currently behind bars. The police are yet to confirm whether they were indeed the ones in the video.
