A member of hiplife duo Keche, Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, has said most Ghanaian musicians are swerving DJs because they feel these DJs and presenters will ask them for money. Ghanaian athlete Emmanuel Dasor has completed his undergraduate studies at the Western Kentucky University (WKU) in the US. The 200m and 400m specialist is among over 36 Ghanaian athletes in the US on Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) scholarships. He majored in Business Administration and is expected to begin working on his Masters Degree in January, 2018. The 22-year-old is the latest Ghanaian athlete to graduate after javelin thrower John Ampomah and decathlete Atsu Nyamadi. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with support from the Swiss Government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) officially launched a national digital market hub designed for exporters and investors on Thursday at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra. National Treasurer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Akanni Adams says the Chair of the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC), Charlotte Osei, should have resigned long before hearing began on a petition filed to look into her tenure. Members of the Mine Workers Union of the Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC) have petitioned Parliament to intervene in the recent decision by Goldfields Ghana Limited to lay off some 1,500 workers. The Union marched to Parliament in red to present the petition. According to them, the gold-mining company has to be stopped from going the road it wants to take. “They cannot do anything untoward,” General Secretary of the Union Prince William Ankrah said on Thursday when they presented the petition. If your wine was served in a smaller glass, would you drink less of it? That is the question being posed in a study, published in the BMJ, into the growing size of wine glasses. University of Cambridge researchers found glass size grew from an average 66ml in the 1700s to 449ml today – a near sevenfold increase – and wine drinking nearly doubled from 1980-2004. “When it comes to how much we drink, wine glass size probably does matter,” says study author Prof Theresa Marteau.
