Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive (GAPTE) Samson Gyamerah on Wednesday, March 22 said the company is working at extending operations onto the Adenta-Accra corridor soon, saying patronage has risen to 7,000 passengers daily, a significant indication of a good out-turn on the new route. The chief and traditional authorities of Atibie in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region have rescinded their decision to block the road that links the town to the paragliding site ahead of this year’s Easter festive season. The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Yaw Buaben Asamoah, has called on the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources to commence the consideration of rain harvesting in the country. He is of the view that Ghana can avoid the incessant water shortages, if the nation begins to consider two main harvests.
