Ms Deborah Mangortey, mother of a child with down syndrome, has called on the government to establish a free health care policy for children with complex health needs for the first five years of their lives. At least seven children have died after a classroom collapsed at a primary school in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, officials say. The wooden structure at Precious Talent Top School collapsed just minutes after the start of the school day on Monday. Dozens of people were injured and have been taken to hospital in the city. Emergency services are at the scene. About 1,300 school dropouts in five selected metropolitan, municipality and districts in the Ashanti region have been supported with education materials to return to the classroom. Out of the number, 1,000 of them are at the basic level while 300 are enrolled in Technical and Vocational Training institutions.
