Outspoken Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, narrowing escaped losing the candidature of the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 parliamentary election. He managed to beat his only contender, Michael Tetteh Kwetey, who resigned his constituency chairmanship to contest the primary with only seven votes. The police woman who was murdered at a snap checkpoint on the Kumbungu road in Tamale, Sergeant Agatha Nana Nabin, has been laid to rest amidst uncontrollable tears from sympathisers. South Africa has initiated moves aimed at doubling the 21,000 Ghanaian tourists it receives every year. The country as part of that, has been rebranding and just two months ago, announced a visa free regime for Ghanaian travellers to the southern Africa nation.
