A brand new government vehicle robbed at gunpoint by some unknown persons at Tamale in the Northern Region has been intercepted by the Police in Bolga in Upper East. Three gun-toting men with face mask on Thursday night attacked the Northern Regional Coordinator of the Nation Builders Corp (NABCo) Yahaya Abdul Rahman, and robbed him of the official vehicle and two mobile phones. At least five people have been killed in a stampede at a rap concert in the Algerian capital. Thousands had gathered at a stadium in Algiers to see rapper Abderraouf Derradji, better known as Soolking, perform when a stampede is said to have broken out at one of the entrances. Twenty-one people were injured in the stampede and taken to hospital, medical sources told local media outlets. The concert then went ahead and was carried live on Algerian TV. A journalist has been arrested in Tanzania accused of publishing fake news about alleged police abuse of suspects in custody. Joseph Gandye works for Watetezi TV, a station established last year by the Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC). Three masked men wielding AK-47 riffles have attacked the Northern Region Coordinator of the Nation Builders Corp (NABCO), Yahaya Abdul Rahman. His official vehicle, a brand new Nissan Pick Up with registration number NR 9902 -19 and two mobile phones were taken by the suspected robbers Thursday night . The suspected robbers broke into his home in Kanvili Tuunayili, a suburb of Tamale, at about 9:30pm Thursday.
