Senegal reached their second Africa Cup of Nations final with an extra-time victory over Tunisia. Both sides had penalties saved in normal time before Tunisia defender Dylan Bronn inadvertently headed the only goal of the game into his own net. Mouez Hassen tipped Sadio Mane’s free-kick onto Bronn’s head as Senegal – who face Algeria or Nigeria – moved a step closer to their first Afcon title. Tunisia had a late penalty award overturned by VAR. Senegal dominated the first half, producing seven shots to Tunisia’s two, with Mane spurning their best opportunity when he missed an open goal. The Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) has handed a life ban to its former president Tombi A Roko Sidiki. Earlier this year, Solange cancelled a planned performance at America’s Coachella music festival, citing “major production delays”. Who knows what the show would have entailed – although many expected it to rival her sister Beyonce’s celebration of black culture at the previous year’s Coachella. But, judging by the star’s transcendent headline set at London’s Lovebox Festival, elaborate staging would have been superfluous anyway. Over 60 minutes of otherworldly, socially-conscious soul, Solange performed with a sense of freedom and joy that elevated both the material and the audience. The star concentrated largely on her recent fourth album, When I Get Home…

The latest leak came despite the Met Police warning against publication. The first memos criticising Trump’s administration, which emerged a week ago, prompted a furious reaction from the US president and…

Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles are through to their first semi-final after trying and failing over the last 15 years. They did that by beating a Madagascar – who had begun shaping…
