Person seeking to contest next year’s parliamentary election on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in ‘orphan constituencies’ are to pay 20,000-cedi filing fee each, the party has announced. A prosecution witness in the trial of the alleged murderers of the late Major Maxwell Mahama, has been involved in an accident. South Africa will harshly punish employers who employ undocumented foreign nationals, Home Affairs Deputy Minister Njabulo Bheka said on Wednesday. “We will curb the appetite of employers to employ undocumented foreign nationals all in the name of profits,” Bheka said while delivering his department’s 2019/20 budget in Parliament.
