But the Florida resident claims the money was put into poor investments, costing her millions of dollars. Her son, Scott Mackenzie, says the lawsuit is not justified. Ms Mackenzie was 84 years old when she won $590.5m on the Powerball in 2013. After opting to take the money in a lump sum and deducting taxes, she received $278m. She says…
Private legal practitioner Yaw Sarpong has said the newly proposed Public Universities Bill, whose passage and implementation will alter the composition of public university councils, is a move in the right direction. The position of the lawyer is in sharp contrast with that of members of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) and Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) who fear the new bill, when passed, will compromise the semi-autonomous status of public universities. Particularly vociferous on this matter is associate professor at the University of Ghana, Ransford Yaw Gyampo, who has among other things described the bill as…

He stressed that Ghanaians need to take advantage of the health and nutritional benefits of consuming cocoa, adding that Ghana cannot lose out on the benefits of cocoa whiles it produces premium…

She claims that the man, who is 13 years her junior, asked her to pay for everything, including groceries and bills for electricity and water. The scorned woman is apparently so determined to be rid of her…
Former President John Dramani Mahama has stated emphatically that his government never made any attempt to sell the Komenda sugar factory.
