The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared tomorrow March 7 a public holiday for all schools across the country. Thousands of passengers are stranded at the four main airports in Kenya after a strike by workers forced the disruption of domestic and international flights. About 60 flights failed to take-off at their scheduled time from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the busiest in East Africa. Other planes left without passengers. The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is cautioning the general public to psyche themselves up for what it is predicting to be heat exhaustion on Wednesday. Heat exhaustion is a condition whose symptoms may include heavy sweating and a rapid pulse, a result of the body overheating. It’s one of three heat-related syndromes, with heat cramps being the mildest and heatstroke being the most severe.
