President Muhammadu Buhari has taken an early lead as votes are being counted in Nigeria’s general election, amid allegations of manipulation. Four teacher unions have accused government of allowing a public-private partnership into education, a move they think is risky for the country. Labour has said it is prepared to back another EU referendum to prevent a “damaging Tory Brexit”.
